Student Internships

Western Québec School Board

Welcome to the Western Québec School Board!

The Western Québec School Board (WQSB) is one of the nine English school boards in Québec. The WQSB is a progressive, creative, and forward-looking educational organization. The WQSB is comprised of 25 schools, four joint adult education and vocational training centres, one adult education centre and one vocational training centre. All schools provide a safe and well-supported system of integration for students with special needs.

If you wish to continue your learning in a system where success is the goal for all students, where there is an emphasis on collaboration in a team, and where innovation and creativity in supporting students is extremely valued, then look no further.

We are now accepting applications for student internships for the fields of teaching, support staff, and professionals

Student teachers will have the opportunity to interact, in actual learning environments, with students, colleagues, families, and other stakeholders in the teaching profession, all under the supervision of a host teacher.

Special education technician interns will be paired up with and supervised by a mentor and will work in either a support centre or a classroom. The intern will begin by observing and learning from the mentor, and then move to applying special education techniques in therapeutic programs for pupils with learning or emotional difficulties who need targeted help.

Professional interns are directly supervised by a professional and they work in schools, interacting with students and staff to carry out professional tasks.
