NATURE OF THE WORK
The principal and customary work of the certified maintenance worker consists in carrying out maintenance, repair and renovation work falling under several building trades. In addition, you will also be required to
- Mow the lawn;
- Cut branches;
- Repair fences;
- Maintain small engines;
- Clean roof drains and gutters;
- Clean the boiler rooms;
- Carry out light moves;
- Make basic repairs and ensure equipment maintenance;
- Process service requests;
- Attend subcontractors’ interventions;
- Maintain the cleanliness of any location where work needs to be done
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a diploma of Vocational Studies in one of the building specialties appropriate for the class of employment, or hold a diploma or an attestation recognized by the competent authority, and have eight (8) years of pertinent experience; OR Possess an equivalent official qualification, appropriate for the class of employment and issued by a recognized body, and have more than four (4) years of pertinent experience. If this qualification requires fewer than four (4) periods of learning, have in addition one (1) year of pertinent experience to compensate for each missing period of learning;
- Have experience in driving lawn tractors and trailers;
- Have a basic knowledge of small lawn mower and trimmer engine mechanics;
- Have a sufficient knowledge of spoken French and/or English;
- Hold a valid driver’s licence (Class 5);
- Hold the ASP Health and Safety on Construction Sites card (considered an asset
