SALARY FINDER

Negotiations for the renewal of all Ententes and collective agreements related to unionized personnel (teachers, professionals and support staff) have now been concluded. As such, the elements pertaining to the new salary scales for the period of April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023, concluded between unions and the Management Negotiating Committee for English-language School Boards (CPNCA), are now available.

TEACHER INDUCTION PROGRAM

As part of the new 2020-2023 Entente for teachers, all English school boards are offering early career teachers an induction program with a focus of supporting teachers in their teaching profession functions as well as to learn the organizational culture. Participation in the teacher induction program is mandatory for the first two years and voluntary for the following three school years.

The new career teacher will be allocated some time, within his/her other professional tasks, during the first two school years, to receive support in his/her induction program.
This program recognizes the early career teacher who will benefit from an individualized accompaniment of a mentor teacher, within the time for the presentation of courses and lessons, or for developmental and cognitive learning activities. The individualized accompaniment provided by a mentor teacher is offered in priority to full-time teachers as well as full-time replacement teachers.

QUEBEC EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Québec Education Program (QEP) comprises a structured set of elements that facilitate the successful completion of the educational project described therein. The various components of the QEP are rooted in the cultural, economic, geographical, historical, social, and political realities of contemporary Québec society.

The QEP constitutes a common reference for all stakeholders in the school system and in society as a whole. It serves as a daily tool for teachers and as an essential framework for the school administration, staff, members of the governing board and parents. Its implementation is focused on competency development, in other words, the acquisition and mobilization by students of resources that include a body of established and shared knowledge.
